Time line

 This is a time line for Ocean.

Like every thing else here on this vanity site it is a work in progress and is subject to change at my whim.
It is written form the point of view of one of Father's priest.

-65 million years

Protector arrives on Ocean being pursued by Father and Mother.

All three are attacked by Tsaurus a soul eating god of the Saurens, which they manage to destroy. The form the first Pact.

Because of the belief of the Saurens, Tsaurus reappears 7 more times.

After destroying Tsaurus for the 8^th time, Protector and Mother pull down the small second moon and hammer the great city of the Saurens destroying all the dinosaur like life on Plow.

Mother finds the small mammals that survived the destruction and the long wait begins as Mother evolves the animals into Humanity.

Mother gives birth to the Son.

Mother gives birth to the two great souls, which Father place in the first two witches.

-9,998

Mother gives birth to 1,000 souls, which Fathers places in the remaining Humans.

-9,997

Mother gives birth to 1,000,000 souls, which Fathers places in the animals.

-9,900

The first two witches die and become the first ascended gods the Friends.

On Mother's urging the friends pass through the gate.

The original Raven becomes a god.

Storyteller ascends to godhood.

Protector, Storyteller and Raven begin their great wondering and works.

Creation of the Great Totem Gods:Wolf, Panther, Lion, Orca, Catfish, Kraken and Bull.

Creation of the Protector's great system of roads.

The birth of Snake woman the first witch in born in 1100 years.

Snake Woman ascends to god hood.

Protector starts the great search to bring those that carry the witch gene together.

Snake Woman's decedents become the great shamans of the Bison peoples.

Some of the great witch lines are established, Star Eye one of Snake Woman's decedents Marries Darius a witch from the city that is now called Remus, the line of the Caesars is started.

-8,400- 4000

The long peace. The witches have returned. The great lines are established. The people have spread over the continue of the plow. The Ravens and the Krakens with the help of their gods start to explore and fish the great ocean.

There are some minor conflicts but Protector, the other gods and the Protector's priest usual manage to contain and defuse them.

-7000

The population reaches 1 Billion people. Protector through his priest and his god eyes make birth control available to all. Priest preach replacement level birthrate one child per person. It is necessary because almost all children born reach adulthood and reproduce, thanks to the witch healers and the Protectors priest causing a runaway population boom.

-4000 

Father and Mother return from their long journey beyond the gate of paradise.

Storyteller and Raven pass through the gate. Odin and Raven find their regenerating but soulless bodies.

-3900 

Protector discovers Temptress, a soul devouring demon/imaged goddess during one of his hunts. Since the loss of Storyteller to the gate and Mother no longer visits. He falls in love with Temptress and does not destroy her. He takes her to the gate to the void and builds her a home/prison by the gate. One time she follows him into the void and survives.

Temptress escapes the void and stepping through to reality eats a witch, Protector catches her and brings her back to the void where he plans to destroy her to free the soul but Temptress temps him once more and he falls. Twister is conceived . Mother demands that Protector destroy Temptress. He refuses as Temptress is now carrying his child. Mother declares the Pact is broken and leaves.

Twister is born.

-3600 

Father and Mother bring Son through the gate. The three as they are now know form active priesthoods. Mothers priest start perform much the same task as Protector's priest, healing the sick, blessing the crops, freeing them from weeds and pest, and aiding the poor. Father and Sons priest are more militant preach that the Protector is not a true great god but was a soul devouring demon that lived in the void, and he had fallen he had failed in his one duty, the duty that he had accepted when the first Pact was made the duty to protect the souls of humanity. He had let Temptress live and worse yet he had had a demon child by her.

Odin becomes the god of the forest people who call themselves Norse in his honor, Brun begins to be seen among the Norse. The priest of the three begin building Temples in all of the lands except the Norse lands, Odin will not let them pass the Western Fork of the Great River because to him all they preach are lies and hate.

-3400 

The great breaking the Priest of Son and Father preach holy war against the Protector, his Priest and all of his works. Son appears in the great temple in Portus preaches holy war. The night of the cleansing, Son and his followers sweep from the temples and kill all of the protectors priest that they can find. Protector confronts Son but father arrives with a great ballista that shoots bolts that bring the fires of the Sun to Earth. Protector flees Portus but through his Gods Eyes manages to save many of his priest and brings them to the lands of the Norse.

Son declares that all of Protectors works must be destroyed because he had fallen and was now the Evil One and the works of evil must be evil. Starting in Portus Son leads his priest on a crusade of destruction. He lead them north along the great road destroying the road, bridges and Protector's roadside shrines. Protector confronted him on the road between Portus and what is now Remus. Son used one of his diamond arrows to drive off Evil One the resulting fire ball destroyed 2 miles of road and a small village after that Evil One never tried to to confront the son again.

Many of the people despised what Son and his priest had done to Protectors Priest and the destruction of his works and stood against Son. But Son was not afraid to use his arrows on those he called the unrighteous and many died in the flames of the sun brought to earth.

Still many of the unrighteous fought against his priest and followers when he was not present and there was war and destruction through out the land.

During this time the Totems, stood neutral.

-3997

Son and his army of 200,000 priest reach the Western Fork of the Great River. Odin puts an arrow in his eye and Son dies for the first time. His army is destroyed, 160,000 of his priest die. Son no longer leads the great crusade but the wars and destruction still continued, only the lands of the Ravens and the Norse were spared.

The uneasy peace. Son returns from the gate, but can no longer manifest for an extend time in reality. Calls upon the Totems to help restore order. They agree to do so, if he will stop his priest from preaching of cleansing the land. He finally agrees and the Totems manage to bring and uneasy peace to the land. But the peoples are broken into small tribes and clans that raid and fight with one another.

Krakens unite on their Island under King Aecenus, began to call themselves the Aecenens.

-2400

Aecenens cross the Shallow Sea and conquer Portus.

The Five Chieftains unite the Panther Tribes in a loose confederation, ruling from Vig.

Bridget becomes the first Witch Chieftain of Lars.

-2350

Remus and Romulus born to a Caesar witch in Portus. Aecenens capture and kill the mother and Wolf saves then and fosters them in the Spirit Lands at her home in the hills of Remus.

-2320

Remus and Romulus with the help of Wolf unite the tribes around the area of whats now Remus. They fight over the layout of the new city that they were building over the ruins of an old city destroyed during the Breaking, Romulus dies. Remus founds the first legion.

-2321 - -2300

Remus through diplomacy and war unites the Stomach with the help of Wolf. As he expands he forms more and more legions from the small farmers and tradesmen breaking the hold of the warring warlords that then ruled the south.

-2299

Remus now leading 20 Legions Marches on Portus. He is aided in this by Wolf, Snake Woman and Witch Girl. He defeats the Aecenen phalanxes and drive them back across the sea. Wolf, Snake Woman and Witch Girl defeat Kraken.

-2298

Witch Girl passes through the Gate.

-2290

Remus establish Remus as his capitol. He sets his first son Remus II as crown prince to rule over Portus. He sends his second son Darius north to Tall Rock to create a great fortress and become the first Count of the Rubicon.

-2250

Remus dies and because of his fame ascends to godhood.

-2200

Brun makes her great journey, restores the great road from Great River to Lars. Panther's first death. She with the help of the multitude that had formed and then followed her on her journey, revives Panther and raises Rac to godhood. Brun becomes leader of the Great Hunt.

-2150

Twister comes to Vig, Destroys the Mothers temple and puts out the Mother's Coals, Rac and Panther convince Ganius and Roxxanna to combind forces and march on Vig. The Remen legions and southern Panther Tribesmen defeat the Army of the 5 Chiefs. Son battles Twister and drives her off. Son destroys 80,000 of the corrupted of Vig with the fire of the sun.

Twister tries to temp Ganius and Roxxanna and fails. Twister approaches the Totems because Brun will no longer come west for the hunt. The Totems accept her as the leader of the great hunt.

-2025

Ganius and Roxxanna died in their sleep on the same night, they ascend to godhood that same night and take up residence in the Villa that Twister built for them on Rac's Volcano, where Panther had his cave and Rac his Great Hollow Tree. Ganius and Roxxanna join the Hunt and ride the Great Hunt with the Totems and Twister.

Remus V, reorganizes the governance of the Reme, instead of the three administrative areas controlled by the King in Remus, the crown prince in Portus and the Northern Count in Tall Rock, he establishes 12 more counties one for each city in Reme and appoints Counts as administrators.

-1800

Under Remus IX, the Counts go from appointed to hereditary rulers.

-1750

Remus begins visiting Ganius and Roxxxanna. He is tempted and falls for Twister.

-1740

The Counts start meeting every year to share experiences and advise the king.

-1700

The Counts begin to call themselves Senators and begin to collect the taxes from their cities directly taking over from the Royal tax collectors. Cities are governed by the Counts, now called Senators and never develop separate administrations free of the nobility. The creeping corruption of Reme begins as the Senators take more power into their hands.

-1670

The Senators start meeting twice a year, and the Senate gains the power of the purse and the right to make laws. The King is reduced to a figure head. His only true power lies in his right to call up the legions. The Senators start to recruit their own private armies, expanding their household guards and taking over the duties of the Kings Sheriffs bringing them under local control. The great debtor law was past. The Senators start using their power as the tax collectors and law enforcers to begin to force the small free framers off the land. The first great plantations begin to form.

-1600

The Senators now control enough land and capitol that they begin to grant land and titles to their retainers, the knights are created. The Senators, forestalling the king's attempt to work against them with the great businesses, open their ranks to the wealthy merchants and manufacturers creating 7 more Senators three from Remus and four from Portus, these Senators are granted monopolies in their areas of trade. Also to forestall opposition from the church they all so make the heads of the Father's, Mother's and Son's priesthoods Senators excluding the priesthoods of Wolf and Remus because of their support for the king.

The first rebellion. The Senators gathered their personal armies and marched on Remus planning to over throw the king.

Remus XI called the legions, 10 legions answered the call and they drove the six senators of Remus from the City. Tiberius, the Count of the North, the kings cousin, marched south with 5 veteran legions. The Great Hunt lead by Twister came with him.

Twister remade the road using the power of the multitude.

The legions over took the Senator from Balor and overran and killed him and his retainers

The Northern Legions swept into Remus. Twister destroyed the Temple of the Three and tempted Remus XI her first steps, in her fathers long range plans.

Remus XI and Tiberius met in the square and agreed to move quickly.

Next morning the legions marched south. They marched for two days to Xexes On the third day the legions meet the Senators army. Twister of Souls led the legions with Tiberius and Remus XI, her corrupted lovers. She trapped and killed Son and blasted the knights with her magic and the legions with her help defeated the Knights.
