This is a tale from the Northeast, the land of the great forest east of the Great River, form the land of the Norse, who took that name in honor of their God Odin, who they believe is the Odin of our earth. There is animosity between Odin and Brun, and Father and Son, so much so that the Father's and Son's priest dare not cross the East Fork of the Great River'
It is the true origin story of Rac, but it is not told in the West because it is quite disrespectful of the three, less so of Mother, but Son is shown as petty and spiteful and followed by evil priest. Most will say that that may have been true, but the Son has changed, that he was reborn as a man and lived, suffered and died and has learn mercy. In fact in a number of tales told in the west of his actions before his life as a man the line is used "because he had not yet learned mercy, he had not yet lived as a man." In many ways this is true, but this tale if you read deeply into the hints should make you ask who was really converted that faithful day in Remus Son or Twister. Yes, I know I have yet tell that tale, but it is out lined as it is believed in the west in the discussions of the gods.
Things to know.

Things to know.
Brun is not the Daughter of Odins body but she is the Daughter of his soul.
Brun is the daughter of the Protector, who fell and became the Evil One.
The Creation of Rac, His mothers great journey from the east into the west.
Now Odin and his adopted daughter
Brunhilde, Brun for short, decided to go on a journey of discovery.
Burn was the daughter of Protector before he became the Evil One and
an imagined. She had not fallen with her father, as anyone who looked
at her soul could tell. Her soul was as bright as the sun, so bright
that you had to look away. The Totems and Snake Woman had asked to
look the first time Odin and Brun had crossed the Great River, from
the great forest in the northeast. She had stood before them dressed
in a simple white tunic, pale of skin, black of hair and eyes, Five
foot tall, body still that of a girl and she told them, please look.
The gods did that magic that lets you see the soul and they saw both
Odin's and Brun's souls. Blazing pillars of light so bright that they
had to look away, so bright that they could not stand to look at
them. After that, the gods of the north called them the bright ones
and welcomed them where ever they roamed because like the Odin of the
other earth, which most believed he was, he liked to wonder the the
lands spear in his hand , Raven on his shoulder.
So Odin and Brun set out and Raven flew
from his home by the western ocean and joined them as was his
practice, when they went on their journeys. They crossed the the
great bridge over the eastern fork of the great river. The bridge
that now lays broken and submerged because because Odin had to break
it to stop the great shaman 300 years ago.
They journeyed through the great
forest, between the forks of the great river. That land that is now
kept clear of trees by, to our great curse, the great burn. They
walked the great road , the road that the Protector had built to stop
the peoples from drifting apart as they expanded into the world. The
road that still remained in that land because Odin would not let the
priest of the Son enter his land. At last they came to the great
bridge over the the western fork of the great river, the one that
still stands. The bridge where Son and Odin met for the one and only
time. Son and his army of priest came to the bridge and demanded to
cross for they were cleansing the idols and Gods Eyes of the
Protector from the lands, as he was a fallen god turned to evil.
Odin stood on the bridge as the Norse
militia poured thousands of Idols and hundreds of thousand of gods
eyes at the sons feet. After all of the idols and eyes were laid at
the son's feet , the militia moved back across the bridge to stand
arrayed in their thousands. The Norse like the Children all train for
battle every man and every woman armed. Odin stood in the middle of
the bridge and said, “These are all of the idols and eyes of the
protector in my land. You can take them and throw them in the
paradise gate and destroy them, but you will not pass this river, I
will not have you or your murdering priest in my land.”
Son stood on the bank of the river,
shook his bow at Odin and cried,”I demand Justice. I must cross the
river and cleans the land of the fallen ones priest.
Odin took his bow from his shoulder and
fitted an arrow to it and replied, “I have looked into the souls of
the men and women, who were priest of the Protector. I have made them
my priest. Their souls are pure golden flame, unlike the dark and
corrupt souls of your priest. Their souls are so black, that they
should be afraid to sleep at night, least the furies kill them in
their dreams. So go before I destroy your body and force you to go
through the gate for a new one. For you will burn and scream as you
pass through the gate, your soul has grown black with corruption not
as black as your priest but black enough that you will burnas long as
your mother did after the first betrayal.”
Son was enraged and reached for one of
his diamond tipped arrows, those arrows that bring the fire of the
sun to the earth. But Odin was faster, before the son could remove
the arrow from its quiver a loud boom rolled away from the bridge.
Son stood transfixed an arrow in his eye. His soul fled his body.
Snake Woman, who followed it to the
paradise gate, says he burned for a full two days before he could
pass and reclaim a new body as he emerged. He has never returned to
the northeast and he has not crossed the bridge since that day.
At the bridge his priest slunk away
having seen their god die. Many of them made the mistake of sleeping
that night and the furies took them in their dreams. Less than two in
ten walked away. Of the 200 thousand, Son brought to the bridge
160,000 died and their souls never came to the gate. Since it is know
by all, that the Furies only take those who: murder, aid in murder,
rape and/or abuse children, one must ask how did a god of good
attract so many evil men and women? Then again the furies judge
differently than others, to them evil done in the name of
righteousness is still evil; to them the excuse my god demanded it of
me means nothing. Therefore, it is better to follow the golden rule,
than an unjust god because if you do follow the god you better stay
awake or the furies will kill you in your dreams.
Odin and Brun crossed this famous
bridge, said hello to Catfish below in the water and met Snake woman
and Bull on the other side. The now five gods journeyed on, walking
beside the great road which Son and his priest had broken. As they
crossed the land, they stopped each night at one of the great shamans
camps. Odin and Raven would entertain long into the night with
wondrous stories of the earth and their other earth; while all of the
people fell in love with the bright and joyful Brun. Now you may be
wondering how the gods were able to stay in the real word and not
have to retreat into spirit land as even the great gods do. They were
able to stay because of Brun. There are only three gods whose bodies
are not made from belief, the Evil One, and his two daughters Twister
and Brun. Some say that Protector only had one daughter with a soul.
If that is true there are only two gods, whose bodies are not belief
and something else is going on here. The bodies of these god be there
three or two are made of a mixture of real matter and the void, they
can exist in the real without being drained. More importantly Brun
radiates belief. Those, who can see belief, say it is as much like
looking directly into the sun, much as looking into her soul is. It
is said, that even to those without the power to see, she glowed, the
room brightened when she walked in. Brun believed in her friends and
they bathed in her belief.
So they progressed across the Bison
lands leaving a swath of love and affection in its wake. As they
traveled, the people flocked to see them and Brun gave of herself as
the gods passed and many were healed, even those the great shamans
could not heal and the people gave themselves to her; to Snake
Woman's and Bull's joy, they took her as one of their gods. Being
Brun, she believed in the people and the people in turn believed in
her and this belief radiated outward and people were healed and and
the grass grew greener and taller for ten miles on either side of the
road. As they traveled onward more and more people began to follow
drawn by her healing and her love until at last a great multitude was
following them. The belief flowed between the multitude, at least
80,000 men women, and children followed after her. As belief flowed
between Brun and the people and the people and her, it grew stronger
and stronger until Brun truly glowed. She, their pure, even those who
can not see could now see her soul, little, at 5 foot she was small
for the amount of power flowing through her, demon, she always
acknowledge she was the daughter of the Protector, child, she
appeared to be a girl of 12, Goddess of love, which they could feel
pour from her, the people loved her and knew all of these things, so
first in jest and then in earnest, they made it one of her call names
she was their, Pure, Little, Demon, Child, Goddess of Love. This made
Brun laugh but it made Odin proud so for the love of her father, she
accepted it with a glowing grin. So Brun was, with the love of the
people and the gods flowing through her, a pillar of light brighter
than the sun. The power was growing to strong for even Brun to
control, she pumped much of it away into the gods so much so that
their souls expanded, but it was still to much. She expanded the
circle of healing to 20 miles which was the maximum distance such
powers could go, so much power that she was afraid that the other
gods would be destroyed by it and was not even certain she could
survive. She could of channeled it away to one of her blood markers
on the moon, which her other father had her place when he took her
there one day, but that would be a waste of the gift that the people
where giving her. Then she looked at the broken road, the gift of her
father to humanity, now destroyed by Son and his spiteful priest, and
she understood what she needed to do. She walked to the center of the
road motioning the gods to follow after. She arranged them across
the broken road. She put Odin and Raven on the outside because they
were the oldest and the strongest and would have to form the
guardrails and gutters as well as the road. She placed Snake woman
and Bull in the middle of the road. Brun asked each of them to be
responsible for shaping a 20 foot lane of road as they moved forward.
Then she shaped four necklaces of stone with a fine stone chain and
a pendent the size and shape of a sling stone and she cut her palm
and grasped each stone placing some of her blood on each of them.
When she presented Odin his, he laughed and asked, “Sling Stones
why sling stones?”
She grinned, which was now so
blindingly bright that only Odin could look at it, and answered,
“That is what the father of my body always uses and I also do it to
honor the father of my soul.”
Raven who was near by at the time asked
himself, “When did she figure it out?”. Then he said as he often
did during this journey, “Wicked, Wicked Child”
And she laughed and answered him him as
she always will, “Yes, I am.”
After giving her gifts to the gods, she
mind called the fire and full blood shamans, witches to you and me,
to come forward and over 600 came forward out of the multitude and
approached the gods. She asked them if she could go into their minds
and teach them something and such was their love and trust in her
that all agreed. So she taught them how to carve and shape stone with
their minds, going as far as showing them how to brake the strongest
bonds between atoms, those bonds found between carbon in diamonds.
This was not something they had to know for what she wanted them to
do for her because they would be working with glass and not
crystallized stone, but they may have needed to do the other someday.
Once she was sure they all know how to perform the task she showed
them what she wanted them to do. She asked them to come behind the
gods and crave the guardrails into reliefs of the gods stone cartoons
as it was of all of the gods that where present on the journey, to
honor them but as long as they weren't rude they could make them do
what ever they wanted to use their imaginations. Then she had one
more request, that to mark the miles they would crave reliefs of the
Furies the male on the North and the female on the south looking
across the road at each other. Then she showed them in their minds
the two furies because these were good people and had never even been
warned by them in their dreams. The male was tall and muscular and
the female was small with subtle curves and even if the first thing
the shamans noticed about them was the teeth and talons the still was
a strange beauty about then that struck the very soul. When asked why
use the Furies to mark the miles, she laughed and sent, “To remind
everyone what happened happened to those who had broken the road and
as a warning as to what would happen to them, who would do it again,
and it was also to honor the father and daughter who protected
humanity from those who would harm their own kind.
Then she asked them to form themselves
into covens and they did and there were 46. Brun laughed thinking of
all that imagination working poking loving fun at the gods. She lined
the covens up 23 to a side told them that for each relief they they
would have 20 feet of curb and as they finished one they were to leap
frog the other covens and start another cartoon down the road. The
covens all laughingly agreed and the coven leaders meshed their
minds together and they started planning their jokes they would crave
into the shiny black stone.
The grinning Pure, Little, Demon, Girl,
Goddess of love turned from the covens and started across the broken
road to move past and in front of the waiting gods and as she walked
forward thought to her self, “Wicked, Wicked child. Yes, I am.”
and everyone felt the laughter that radiated with the healing power
from her. Once she was pasted the gods she looked out at the broken
remains of her fathers gift to humanity, which she about to repair,
which Son had broken in spite and the thought went out to everyone,
“What should I do to him for this crime against all. Shoot him in
the eye,” the multitude, who had heard Snake Woman's story,
completed it with her, “ and watch him burn in the gate.” It was
lucky that she was facing away from them all because the light that
came from her grin was brighter than the sun, a Nova Raven would say.
With that she started forward, dissolving the broken road before her
turning the stone into a gray mist that rose in a great cloud over
her head. As she moved forward she cut a tench 90 foot wide and 5
feet deep, once she was far enough forward the stone mist seemed to
be sucked into her and burst forth from the four gods pendents. The
gods began to reform the road.
The road the road they formed was 80
feet wide with 4 foot tall curbs with 5 foot deep by five foot wide
drainage ditches on either side. Once they started forward, Brun
dimmed as the power flowed through her and she used it to break the
molecular bonds and levitate the molecules into a mist, while also
feeding her belief into the other gods and into the covens to aid
them in their work.
Once enough of the road had been laid
down, the covens started their portion of the great work. Much to
their surprise they did not have to dip into their personal reserves
as Brun's belief flowed into them and they felt how it was to work
with power of belief like gods. Even the multitude who were not
personally working on the project could see that they were also
contributing to the work. Because as Brun dimmed and the gray stone
mist dimmed the sun, the mist reacted to the belief flowing into
their little love and they could see the golden trace of the belief
flowing from them, growing brighter as it came together and flowed
into Brun and back out of her to the four other gods and to the
covens and even to them. Seeing this, their belief and love for her
deepen even more and Brun brightened once more. So everyone started
forward walking forward over the road that the gods made.
The great work progressed across the
land a rate of a moderate walk, the rate of someone making a long but
steady journey. About 2 hours before the sun set, Brun had the gods
stop and as she walked forward still cutting the road bed they formed
a simple structure of a thin stone roof supported by stone pillars.
So everyone would have shelter for the night.
Everyone watched, as Brun walked back
up the road bed and their hearts melted with love for their little
demon child.
Brun worried as she came back. She was
concerned for the people that had come to follow her, many of them
had been drawn to her and had come without planning without enough
food. She looked at the grass lands that lay on either side of the
road. It was short grass prairie, it didn't receive enough rain to
grow the dense forest found east of the river, but this section was
choked with bramble and weeds that had displaced the grass on which
the bison fed. It had not felt the cleansing power of fire for a long
time. By the time, she had walked back to the end of the road and had
been lifted out of the trench by the smiling Odin, she had determined
the next use for the great power that still flowed.
Brun was determined to do two things
about the problem of food, first tonight she would feed the multitude
and at the same time she would teach the witches how to feed the
people on their own. But first she would have to do something about
keeping them warm and providing good water.
By this time, Brun was just glowing
softly, brighter than the full moon but still to safe to look at.
While over head in the darkening sky a fountain of light could be
seen on the moon. She walk to the shelter and passed through the
multitude to the side opposite the road were there was a slight slope
down to a creek, that flowed beside the road. The people parted as
she past, not out of fear but love, at this point no one would do any
thing to inconvenience the little goddess that held all of their
hearts. When she reached the far side, she examined the creek and
smiled, to the east the creak passed over a ledge of hard stone
forming a rapid with a pool behind it and because of the slope the
pool was about 10 feet above the camp site. She sent to Odin and told
him what she wanted a raised stone trough on the back side of the
shelter and told the the other gods to form some tables to be set on
the shelter side of the trough.
She then she took a rock from the
ground, formed it into the shape of a sling stone, cut her hand and
blooded the stone. Now, I make this sound an easy thing, but know
this Brun and Twister feel pain the same as you and I and if you ask
her why someone, it would take the fires of the sun to destroy, needs
to feel pain she'll say, “It's to protect you from me, not me from
you.” This seems rather cryptic until you realize how dangerous her
blood is when spilled by accident or in anger, a single drop will
suck the life out of you.
Brun set the stone on the ground, where
it began to melt the soil and then the bed rock turning it into the
now familiar gray stone mist. The stone dissolved a hole ten inches
in diameter, lined with a layer of two inch thick witch glass, a
pipe, in the ground. Brun sent the stone in the direction of the pool
above the rapid and it formed its pipe as it moved. Odin took the
mist and first formed a stand pipe to a height of 3 feet above the
ground were it made a right angle turn. Then he formed a u shaped
trough on top a honeycombed stone stand. Once the trough had reached
90 yards in length, Odin formed a lip on the back side of the trough
where the excess water could drain away back to the creek, down an
exposed granite slope. Once he was finished, the other gods took the
stone mist, that now seemed to come from just over Bruns head and not
from the hole as it did at first, and began to form tables, and the
covens at Odin's suggestion began to form small bowls and platters.
While this was happening Brun just stood there, a cloud a stone mist
forming above her head, she seemed to be far away and she was, her
conciseness was with the stone, devolving the rock, forming the pipe
and directing the path of the stone.
At last, she broke through into the
pool and flew herself, the stone, back to her waiting hand and she
was herself again.
The water burbled and gurgled as it
flowed along the stone pipe below the ground pushing a rush of air
before it; until at last it burst free and went frothing down the
trough. Brun took one of the bowls, offered to her by a shaman from
the coven nearest to her and dipped it into the clear flowing water
and inspected the full bowel before she drank looking deep inside the
water and smiled when she found it was pure. As she took her first
drink she smiled even broader still as the shaman took another bowel
and also checked the water before he drank. Then she sent to all,
“The water is clean as this wise man can attest” as she reached
up to touch the shaman on the shoulder.
